I went to E&Gs this afternoon to get away from the stress of moving. The first impression upon entering was it was very clean and resembled every other subway shop (Quiznos, subway, etc) One of the biggest differences separating this chain from others is the customer service. There was a staff of 4 young adults that were incredible bright and helpful. I had the Apollo on wheat and my girlfriend had the Titan. Both sandwiches were unique and unbelievable delicious. The only complaint we had was...the forgot to take the cheese off of the Titan (nothing major at all). I will be returning to E&Bs until I try every one of their delicious sandwiches!

It's Jimmy Johns with flavor and no blandness. The Quattro is amazing and the beer cheese soup is outstanding

Get the soup and sandwich. The bread from the sandwich can be used to dip in the soup. I was actually trying to go to Noodles & Co, but they closed at 9. This place was in the same building so I ventured there. Automatically it was a plus that they were open after 9pm in Grand Forks on a week night. I was greeted as I entered with cheery faces and smiles. On the employee recommendations, I ordered the chili and I was not disappointed. The sandwich was pretty yummy as well. I think the thing that took it over the top was the courtesy and friendliness of the staff.

LOVE this place. Soups are delicious, sandwiches are delicious. My husband and I both loved it. We had the Apollo which was soooo tasty. Service was awesome. I like that there was a story behind each sandwich too. Very cute. It's kind of just a subway/fast food atmosphere though. They could improve on that a little bit. I will be back!

I have celiac disease. I hate that I have to be high maintenance when I go out to eat, but saw E&G in a few places as a gluten-free friendly place to go, so I thought I would give it a try. I ordered my own GF sandwich (stating to the cashier that I was GF for medical reasons), plus a regular sandwich for my husband and moved down the counter to wait for my order to be ready. Right away, I noticed issues with the preparation of my order. It occurred to me to ask about the roast beef being gluten free (some sliced meat isn't) and they said it wasn't, so I had them change the meat. What if I hadn't asked-- you would think that this point would have been made while I was placing my order. I asked them to prepare the sandwich in a separate area with separate tools and they did, but only after starting to prepare my meal in the same place and with the same tools as the regular sandwiches. I watched the rest of the preparation from there like a hawk and it is clear that the staff were untrained as to how they should handle a GF order (and the implications of cross contamination). What I ended up with was a sandwich that was about 1/2 the size of my husband's that I paid $1.99 extra for. It was on pretty bad GF bread that had gone stale with only mayo, 2 slices of meat and one leaf of limp lettuce. I walked away feeling pretty bad about the experience-- I wanted to like it since there are not many GF options out there, but between the untrained staff (who just seemed annoyed by my input) and the meager end product, I won't be going back.

Great food, great service and quick to getting you your sandwich and/or soup. I will most differently come here again. I had the Spartan, thought it wasn't bad not incredibly amazing but good. Wish the sandwiches were thicker but I'm full from a full sandwich so all in all a pleasant experience.

I ordered the Cheddar Cheese & Broccoli soup because of the very inviting photo on the website showing large chunks of green broccoli. In actuality, I got a few tiny pieces of broccoli stem in some cheese soup. I think calling it Cheddar Cheese & Broccoli soup is like calling Pork & Beans by it's name when you know there is just one tiny piece of pork in the whole can. The sandwiches at Erbert and Gerbert's are always good but I can't say the same for the soup. I'll pass on the "Cheddar Cheese & Broccoli" soup next time!
